W A Y N E C O U N T Y Speak Your Mind! 4 THE BUZZ AROUND WAYNE COUNTY NOVEMBER 2026 Well I guess as soon as Election Day is over Tuesday, on Wednesday, the race for Mayor of Goldsboro will begin! Oh boy, can't wait to see who wants that job! Thank you for this opportunity, I've noticed many street signs have faded, it is difficult to read them around 70 and 117, around Goldsboro. Hey candidates, whether you win or lose your race, continue to be accessible to those you are serving and wanted to serve. There's a good chance you'll run again and we voters do and will have a memory! Don't just come around during election season! Study the consequences before you make your decision. Read that over and over until you get it. Folks need to start challenging these candidates that are unopposed. People fuss constantly about them....but no one runs against them. I know we can't name names but any small business that really and truly wants to grow your business should contact the owner of The Buzz, I can't spell his name correctly, starts with an A. He helped me and my business grow in a substantial and financial way that is creating new and existing busi- ness relationships consistently. Thanks for the start of repaving inner city roads and not patching them up. It will be very helpful to smooth out the payment around railroad tracks that have to be crossed by everyday traffic. Some of us do care about our vehicles. Would love to see more diverse eateries here in Wayne County like Greek, African, Indian, Ramen, Cajun, etc. We are a melting pop of cultures here! Please bring more office setting positions to the whole entire county not ev- erybody wants to work in production. More entertainment is needed for all ages together and separately, who wants to keep driving 1-5 hrs just to have some fun when it's enough to build here for that. The county needs to find a way to make Bill Lane Blvd safer. There have been multiple accidents on that road and nothing is being done about it. Anybody make good authentic Po Boy sandwiches? Please don't put your leaves and yard debris in the street. Keep it in your yard, next to the street, to be picked up. Putting it in the street clogs up the drains. Need stop light at Malloy/ Ash St Ext. Accidents waiting to happen as every- one cuts through Cashwell, turns on Malloy and can't get on Ash. With the new apartments opening, it will be worse. Please fix the railroad tracks on 117 near the park. It's so ridiculous, someone can do damage to their car. We take 111 to avoid the tracks!!! They are ridiculous! Is it me or has the quality of food in these eating places taste different than back in the day? I'm beginning to just cook those things I like out, at home! Plus I get better customer service, my order doesn't get messed up! How about the erection of 15 unconstitutional mass surveillance cameras on Wayne County right of ways. That dip at the intersection of US 70 and 581at Sheetz and WaWa gas station near Rosewood still needs to be filled in. N. Audubon still needs repaving, not patchwork, repaving. And what's the deal with the backfiring cars blasting on ash? We need to make the animal shelter a permanent adoption center with no ani- mals being euthanized. I sure do miss Central Park! Tina Avenue in Pikeville needs repaving. That patch work paving just ain't cut- ting it! The intersection of Wayne Memorial Drive and Country Day road needs to be repaired. I'm turning off of Wayne Memorial Drive onto Country Day Road, that crater in the asphalt is horrible! Those Flock Cameras need to be bulldozed. Maybe a Noodles and Co. could work here in the county! Meet at least one new person in Wayne County every day. I promise you if you that, we will be a closer and better community sooner than later! Indian Springs Road from Arrington Bridge Road to Hwy 111 S needs major repairs. It really needs to be repaved. I never see NCDOT, or any other government road crews for that matter, do any repairs in Wayne County. We are seeing lots of repaving with new turn lanes on BILL LANE all the way to 111!
