TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI) SUPPORT GROUP Our support group meets every second Saturday of the month at the Peggy Seegars Senior Center on Ash St here in Goldsboro. Note we won't meet in NOVEMBER. Please come join us if you have suffered a brain injury or come if you are the caregiver, family member or friend of a loved one who has suffered TBI. We meet from 10am until 11:45am (The Senior Center closes at 12 noon on Saturdays) so come for a time of food, fellow- ship, and fun. You will be surprised how wonderful and easily engaging our current group members are. Often, we have guest speakers, but some- times we just "sit, eat, and talk." Delighted if you can join sometime! For additional information call Pier Protz at Renu Life at 919-734-0266. 17 MARCH 31, 2026 NOVEMBER 30, 2026 NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH GOLDSBORO Please join us every first Thursday of the month for a meeting at the Peachtree Street Recreation Center located at 1601 Peachtree St in Golds- boro. Our meeting starts at 5:30 and it ends promptly at 6:30pm. Come to the building that says AUDITORIUM and walk toward the con- ference room. Anyone may attend, no matter your district. We aim to build stronger connec- tions via shared communication, and we aim at fostering trust among residents of the same city, though living in different communities. Some- times we have City Council members present, sometimes a police officer. For more information call Blondine Knelsen at 919-601-3325. We will love to see you! Mental Health Association of Wayne County We are a non-profit volunteer organization in Goldsboro and meet the second Tuesday of the month at St. Luke UMC located at 1608 E Pine St in Goldsboro. If you have a suggestion for outreach, or have questions, or need support for yourself or someone else, please call us at 919-734-3530. Mental health is essential to overall health and quality of life. Poor mental health leads to problems in relationships, decision making, and substance use disorders--yes, even food addiction. If you cannot help this group, please pray and show kindness to those who struggle and seek help via treatment facilities, support group meetings, etc. We need each other!
