The support group will be facilitated by Shawna Mullins, a Hospice Care Consultant with Gentiva Hospice of Goldsboro. Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise posted and is open to all unpaid caregivers. Tonya Reaves and Austie Matheny of UNC Health Wayne will be at the Senior Center on Wednesday, May 13th, 10:00am to 11:30am to discuss how MyChart works and navigating the MyChart app. A discussion will follow on advocating for ourselves as patients or for others. It is important to understand advocacy strategies; such as, requesting printed instructions or alternative communication methods to ensure all patients understand their healthcare information. This presentation is OPEN to ALL Wayne County citizens .
