Community Partnership in Action,Pikeville! Twice each year, the Pikeville Police Department is proud to partner with students from Aycock High School for a roadside cleanup effort along US 117. This important com- munity project helps keep one of the main corridors in our area clean while also giving students an opportunity to serve their community. During the cleanup, officers with the Pikeville Police Depart- ment assist by providing traffic control and roadside safety measures to ensure the students can safely carry out their work along the highway. With vehicles traveling at high speeds along US 117, having proper safety oversight is critical, and our officers are honored to play a role in making the event both safe and successful. We want to give a huge thank you to the hardworking students and staff from C.B. Aycock High School who volunteered their time to make a difference. Your dedication to improving our community does not go unnoticed. Partnerships like this are what make our community strong. We look forward to continuing this tradition and supporting these students again during the next cleanup. Great job everyone! TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THE BUZZ!
