This year's event was at the beautiful home of Michael and Dawn McDonald. Diane Chamberlain was immensely engaging and entertaining. Between her stories and the amazing food prepared by local gourmets, not a single guest left unsatisfied. Reading Between the Wines provides great opportunity to meet interesting and influential Wayne County residents while enjoying a beautiful and unique ambiance of a local picturesque home. Yearly, guests remark that Literacy Connections keep raising the bar on the event and their guest authors. Keep a patient eye out for the next Reading Between the Wines announcement to come in early 2018. As we approach the holiday season, it is time to look around and be reminded of the wonderful blessings in our lives and recognize that not all of our neighbors in Wayne County can count such blessings. It is the time of year when Literacy Connections of Wayne County (LCWC) ask our friends in the community for help so Literacy Connections can increase its reach into Wayne County and combat adult illiteracy in the community. We humbly ask you to consider donating to Literacy Connections' Friends of Literacy campaign which will officially begin Giving Tuesday, November 28th. We can change the future economic face of our adult learners. LCWC can only do it with the generous assistance from its donors and community supporters. You can donate by calling (919) 735-1990 or online at http://www. literacyconnectionsofwaynecounty.org/ services3.
